This evening workshop is an introduction to making natural history embroidery come to life. We will look at the history of embroidering natural history specimens and take inspiration from natural history bookplates. By using specimens as inspiration, we will look at colour, shape and position to make a natural history embroidery hoop focusing on beetles and bees.

Level - Beginner

Suitable for ages 15yr+

The class will take place in the Société Jersiaise Member’s Room.

Your tickets includes; Refreshments, along with festive mince pies, embroidery resources, access to the natural history specimens of the Société Jersiaise. Embroidery resource for you to take away includeS: 1 Embroidery hoop, fabrics, embroidery threads in various colours, needle.

Please wear a mask.
